Sovereigns of the Savanna
African elephants are part of a multifaceted ecosystem Lincoln Park Zoo helps protect through its Serengeti Health Initiative in Tanzania. By vaccinating domestic dogs in neighboring villages, this zoo-led program has helped dramatically reduce incidences of rabies among people, pets and wild predators. In a balanced ecosystem where all life is linked, all benefit.
